MANILA, Philippines – Ayala's AC Industrial Technology Holdings Incorporated (AC Industrials) officially launched Maxus Philippines on Wednesday, June 5, boasting of vehicles with massive space and reasonable price points.
Maxus is the 6th automotive brand under AC Industrials, joining Honda, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Kia, and KTM.
It is a brand from China, but traces its roots to the United Kingdom, over a century ago.
Maxus Philippines general manager Reggie See said the company is aiming to capture segments, particularly families and companies, which need to carry lots of passengers.
See said they are aiming for just over 500 units to be sold in 2019, considering they launched it during the 2nd quarter.
"We aim to double or triple that next year," he said.
V80 Transport

The Maxus G10 is a 9-seater van that offers spacious interior amenities, highlighted by adjustable seating for all seats.
It also features a 7-inch touchscreen radio with USB, Bluetooth, and 6-speaker system, 220-volt power supply, and front and rear air-conditioning systems.
It is powered by a Euro4 1.9-liter diesel engine equipped with a VGT charger, and promises to endure long road trips with its high-power yet fuel-efficient output.
V80 Transport

The V80 Transport variant offers an 18-passenger capacity and is ideal for the shuttle service business.

Maxus V80 Comfort
Price: P1.6 million
This 13-seater van is good as a family van, as a school bus, or as a passenger shuttle service.
Being the widest in its class, the V80 Comfort can be loaded to up to 1.1 tons, and is sufficiently powered by a 2.5-liter CRDI diesel engine with VGT.

Maxus V80 Flex
Price: P1.2 million

This is a variant of the V80 sans the many seats, catering to businesses which require transport of their cargo.
It is a 3-seater with specs similar to the V80 Comfort, at a lower cost.

Maxus Philippines will soon establish a dealership network, beginning with its Greenfield District Showroom and Service Center in Mandaluyong City. The company will also bring the brand closer to customers with dealerships at Aseana Manila Bay in Parañaque City, Quezon Avenue in Quezon City, and Cebu in the Visayas region.
